A model for fostering creativity and innovation within organizations and communities.
Looking for inspiration to be more innovative about retooling your business and your products/services, especially due to changes the economic environment due to COVID? Join us for an interactive session to learn proven methods for bringing “ideas to impact”!! The session will define the components of innovation, share an approach and method to facilitate the innovation process, and suggest tools and enablers. You will also hear how organizations have used the framework to develop new products and solutions. Participants will gain inspiration, ideas, tools and tips to foster creative thinking and innovation within your organization or community. You will also meet like-minded individuals that can be allies in your journey. The session will be led by DataHouse, one of Hawaii's largest IT services companies in support of TRUE (Technology Readiness User Enablement), a Hawaii-based non-profit with a mission to support local organizations in accelerating their adoption of technology. Together with HTDC, these organizations help Hawai'i organizations to thrive.

About the GUEST PANELIST Clyde Shiigi
Clyde Shiigi, Chief Innovation and Strategy Officer, DataHouse. Clyde's entire career has been in information technology, starting as a college intern in 1980. Throughout his 41 year career at DataHouse, Clyde worked in all aspects of the information technology including software development, project management, management consulting, and executive leadership positions as Chief Technology Officer and President/CEO. Clyde has worked with numerous government agencies and commercial businesses in Hawai'i, the U.S. Mainland, and Japan and helped to expand DataHouse's business in healthcare, government, education, and banking. In his current role as Chief Innovation and Strategy Officer, Clyde works with DataHouse consultants, customers, and partners to plan and deliver value to stakeholders through innovative approaches and solutions.
About the GUEST PANELIST Eddie Ontai
Eddie Ontai is the Co-president of DataHouse, whose mission is "delivering world-class solutions to our customers, while providing high-value opportunities for the people in our local and global communities." Eddie is responsible for all aspects of the business and strategic direction at DataHouse. He previously served in dual roles as the Vice President of Administration and Executive Director for Catholic Charities Hawai'i, where he lead financial and administrative functions as well as the agency's real estate and housing development subsidiary. Prior to Catholic Charities Hawai'i, Eddie also led teams at St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawai'i, Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific, and Deloitte & Touche.
About the GUEST MODERATOR Michelle Cheung
Michelle Cheung is the Executive Director of TRUE (Technology Readiness User Evaluation), a joint effort driven by the private and public sectors to create a thriving Hawai'i through knowledge-sharing and adoption of technology. Michelle has demonstrated leadership, effective execution and strategic planning in companies large and small with a keen focus on change management, process improvement/ modernization and data intelligence. Over the past decade, Michelle served as an executive with a top Hawaii real estate company, leading the organization's technology, marketing and research efforts. Prior to relocating to Hawaii, Michelle led cross-functional and international initiatives for Citigroup and Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi in New York. Michelle has an MBA from NYU's Stern School and an undergraduate degree in Finance and MIS from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

As a female entrepreneur paving the way in the cyber security services industry, Anne-Marie Lerch is a founding partner of both HI Tech Hui, a Hawai'i based IT and cybersecurity company, and Cyberuptive, Hawaii’s only locally owned 24x7 Security Operations Center. Her passion for business strategy and technology has led her company to become one of the leading, fastest-growing IT support and cyber security companies in Hawai'i. With more than 20 years of experience in the field, Lerch has become an industry leader. She specializes in project management for software development projects, and has managed multiple large-scale enterprise software development and Big Data projects. Lerch has previously worked for companies such as Accenture, Microsoft and Zappos (a subsidiary of Amazon) as well as various start-ups.
About the GUEST PANELIST Liza Rodewald
Liza Rodewald is a 4x entrepreneur and software engineer with over 16 years of technical experience. She has built multi-million dollar enterprise software for government and healthcare industries. Her passion for entrepreneurship came from her desire to have a more flexible lifestyle and lead her to advocate and shape the future of work for companies and workers. Liza graduated with honors with a degree in Computer Science from the University of South Alabama. She is in the top 3% of graduates from the Founder Institute, and alumni of the Blue Startups Accelerator named one of the Top 25 SheEO, and a published Forbes author. She is also a member of the Young Entrepreneurs Council and serves as a mentor for female founders. She is currently the Founder and CEO of Instant Teams, a remote-first, tech-enabled solution building high-quality customer support and operational teams. About the GUEST MODERATOR Ellen Ng
Ellen Ng is the Economic Development Specialist at the Hawaii Technology Development Corporation (HTDC). She leads the E-Commerce & Digital Marketing Program for Manufacturers program and the Digital Currency Innovation Lab. Her experience spans across roles in strategic planning, business development, go-to-market execution as well as e-commerce and digital marketing. Ellen has worked for a myriad of sizes and industries, including large technology companies such as LG and Samsung to small-medium retailers. She is also passionate about tech entrepreneurship, having served in operational roles for an accelerator and health tech startup. Her global career includes working stints in Seoul, Silicon Valley, New Delhi and Singapore.
